Voice Changer and Transcription

  • Audio and video files can be transcribed into textblocks under the Voice Changer menu. Video files can also be transcribed from the timeline.

  • The preview exists because the durations of the generated audio might differ from the durations of the original. This can be fixed in 4 different ways.

  • The syncing is done in the exact same way as syncing of SRT files with the generated audio.

Voice Changer Preview

The preview contains the following information and options:

  • On the left, it contains information on generated blocks that have different durations than the original audio, ways to fix the error, and the erroneous blocks

  • In the middle, the preview has the script editor and the timeline

  • Clicking on the highlighted red blocks will result in redirection to the block in the script editor, which will let you fix the error in one of the four ways mentioned

  • Alternatively, the new duration can be accepted by selecting the "Accept Audio Length" option. "Accept All & Save" can be selected to accept the new audio duration for all the blocks if the mismatch is not an issue

Fixing duration mismatch

  • The timestamps of scripts uploaded audio file might differ from the durations of the generated audio. the preview helps in fixing the error before importing it into the final project

  • This is due to the fact each voice is trained on a professional voice actor and has its unique style and pace of delivery, as no two people speak the exact same way.

  • The difference in timings of the original audio and generated audio can be fixed in 4 ways:

    • Increasing the speed

    • Trying a different voice

    • Reducing the text

    • Accepting the audio duration (can be done for all the blocks using "Accept All & Save"

Change voice

Changing the voice to a different one, especially a young adult voice, helps in increasing the speed of the narration when the difference is very small.

8

Change speed

Increasing the speed of the voice will reduce the difference when the generated audio is slower.

9

Reducing text

Removing redundant text or paraphrasing it would help in reducing the duration mismatch (minimizes the duration of the generated audio)

Accept audio duration

The new audio duration can be accepted. This will shift the subsequent audioblocks further to the right of the timeline.

Error fixed

After the changes are made, the audio needs to be generated for the changes to reflect and the error to get fixed. When the error is fixed for a block, the block disappears from the side panel, and it is no longer highlighted in red in the script editor.
