Once logged in, from the student management screen you will select Phonological Awareness from the menu on the left.

Select group tab to select group and change settings by group.

To change a student's group assignment, select group number to the right of the student's name.

Select the pencil icon to view student history for lists and select lists.

By selecting the pencil, you can see current lists, mastered lists, and upcoming lists in the scope and sequence.

Selecting down arrow allows you to preview the prompts in the skill sequence.

You can reset the list at the bottom, set as current list, or simply X out of the popup in the top right corner.

To begin instruction, select Start Phonological Awareness.

Introduce the skill to the group using the prompts on the Skill Introduction screen. Be sure to use the Gradual Release Model.

Select Next Practice Item to change the prompt as many times as needed until students are ready for individual prompting.

Select Start Instruction to close the Skill Introduction screen and move into individual prompting.

View timer to help with pacing during the component. The timer will turn yellow when the minimum time has been reached and will turn red when the maximum time has been reached.

Select the timer to see total time for all components in the session.

Select Ok to return to instruction.

Provide the prompt and score the student responses accordingly.

Once responses have been recorded, select next to move onto the next student.

Select Skip This Item to get a new item for that student.

The student's progress will be displayed in the top right corner of the screen.

Select Skip Student to skip student just for that turn.

Select the student name to see current instruction in the scope and sequence.

Select the X to close out of the pop-up.

Select Save & Exit to end the Phonological Awareness component.

OPTIONAL ASSESSMENT: Click the gear icon to enable assessment or rebalance the list for the group.

By default, assessment is integrated in the instruction process and a separate assessment is not required. The PHA component does have a full assessment mode that can be used as an option and is turned off by default. To start assessment, select Yes.

Select the level at which you would like to begin assessing.

Select Close once the level for assessment has been selected.

When assessment is turned on, a yellow banner will appear across the top of the teacher screen to indicate that students are in assessment.

When a new student moves into the group from another group, you have the option to Rebalance. As seen here, the lists are already balanced. Select Close to exit the pop-up.
