Assessment starts automatically for a new HillRAP group. The assessment can be started by the teacher at any time but is not recommended to be turned on during the year because data will be deleted. The gear icon allows you to see assessment status.

Assessment is turned on. Students will be in a group but will be working on their own assessment at their own level.
3
To begin assessment, select Start Word Attack.
4
The pop-up reminds you to limit student feedback during assessment. Select OK to begin assessing.
5
During assessment, a yellow bar appears across the top of the screen to indicate you are working in assessment with that student. Otherwise, the operation of the app for assessment is the same as instruction.
6
Select Next to move onto the next student in the group.
7
STUDENT SCREEN FOR ASSESSMENT - During assessment, the student screen will only show the words and not the teacher markings.
8
The gear icon allows you to see student settings.
9
Assessment will stop automatically, however the teacher can stop assessment at any time. It is suggested that you continue assessing until the student meets their ceiling instead of ending assessment early. You can turn drawing off and adjust the number of words read per turn.
10
Selecting the student's name allows you to see student's list details.
