Updating Resource Information

8 Steps
19

Change the shelf location to the one you determined on your worksheet

If there is more than one copy you've moved to this record, make sure the resource Shelf Location is NOT 220.7; enter the shelf location from 221-228 instead. Only enter a 220.7 shelf location here if this is the record for the only copy of the newest edition.

Change the shelf location to the one you determined on your worksheet
20

Make sure the resource Type is set to "Non-Fiction (General Collection)"

EXCEPTION: If we own only one copy of the most recent edition, this should instead be set to "Reference".

Make sure the resource Type is set to "Non-Fiction (General Collection)"
21

Verify the Series is present/correct and has a volume number

Make sure the volume number is written as "v. 05", using a zero before the numbers 1-9. This will help make sure the numbers sort correctly.
