Modifying Households in Infinite Campus
📔 There are many examples of modifying a household in Infinite Campus. In this example, a guardian is moving from one household to another. There are also multiple ways that this process can be completed. Please see the steps below as a guide.
1. From the Landing Page select the Magnifying Glass Click on Search

2. Under Type, Click on Household

3. Enter the Household Name or a Household Member's Name Click on Search
Example: Walker, Woody

4. Select the Household Name you need to Modify Click on the Household Icon
Example: Walker

5. Click on Related Tools on the Right Hand Side

6. Click on Household Members

7. Select the Household Member you need to Modify
Example: Walker, Ted

8. Select End Date and Choose the Appropriate Date
Example: April 10, 2025

9. Click on Save

10. Select the appropriate relationship status
Example: Keep the relationships

11. Click on Ok

12. Once the relationship has been ended, you’ll need to create a new household. To begin, click on Menu.

13. Click on Census

14. Click on Census Wizard

15. Enter the Name of the Household Member Click on Search
Example: Ted Walker

16. Select the Household Member's Name
Example: Ted Walker
Note: Do Not Select "Create a new person"

17. Click on Clear Search Fields

18. Continue with the next Household Member's Name
Example: Woody Walker

19. Click on Search

20. Select the Household Member's Name
Example: Woody Walker

21. Click on Clear Search Fields

22. Enter the next Household Member's Name- if applicable
Example: Chauncey Walker

23. Click on Search

24. Select the Household Member's Name
Example: Chauncey Walker

25. Click on Clear Search Fields

26. Enter the Address of the Household
Example: 123 Main

27. Click on Search

28. Select the existing address or create a new one if it does not already exist
Example: 123 Main St Maintown

29. Click on Continue - Step 2

30. Select the Start Date for the Household Address

31. Select Mailing & Physical for Address as applicable

32. Select Start Dates for Relationships in Household
You may use the date that you were notified of the household change.
Example: 04/10/2025

33. Indicate whether the household is a Secondary Household for any listed members
Example: Ted Walker's Household is a Secondary Household for Woody & Chauncey Walker

34. Click on Save & Continue - Step 3

35. Select the Relationship and Start Date
Note: Infinite Campus is student-centered, so be sure to complete this information for each student in the household. You do not need to complete it for other family members who are not students.

36. Select the appropriate Communication Settings

37. Enter the Sequence for contacting the Parent/Guardian
Example: Ted Walker is Sequence 1

38. Review all information for accuracy

39. Click on Save & Done

40. Optional Step: To check the Household Information Click on the Magnifying Glass to Search

41. Enter the Household Name and Click on Search
Example:Walker, Woody

42. You will now see two Walker Households
Woody and Chauncey Walker are now members of two separate households.

43. You can click on each Household to see the Household Members
Example: Walker Household 115 N Churchill Dr

44. You can click on each Household to see the Household Members
Example: Walker 123 Main St

45. You can click on each Household to see the Household Members
Example: Walker Household 123 Main St
