Modify Staff/Volunteer Start Date

Ensuring accurate start dates is essential for compliance with OSU's Protection of Minors policy, particularly regarding background checks and program participation requirements. If a staff or volunteer will not have access to youth until after a session begins, follow the steps outlined below to update a start date and ensure that all staff and volunteers are properly registered and cleared to participate.

If a staff or volunteer's start date has been changed, they must not participate in the session or have any contact with minors until the updated start date and until they have fulfilled all of OSU's personnel requirements.

Click on the session name

Toggle the switch on the Staff/Volunteers heading to Edit

Click Edit next to the Start Date of the staff you want to modify

Click Edit next to the Start Date of the staff you want to modify

Enter the correct Start Date

The start date can be no later than the first day that the individual engaged with minors.
