Instructor Guide: Referencing Panopto Videos in Canvas Course Folders

Videos in My Folder are set as 'private' by default. My Folder is your private space to create and manage all your videos. This guide provides instructions on creating a reference copy of the video for your Canvas course folder, therefore enabling any students or faculty associated with that Canvas course to access the video.

It is a best practice to keep a master copy of your videos in My Folder and make a reference copy for your Canvas courses. When you edit the video in My Folder, it will edit all reference copies.

The following resource explains everything about Video Reference Copies: https://support.panopto.com/s/article/Learn-About-Video-Reference-Copies
