How to create a post or start a discussion

You can choose whether your post will be seen by all users, or only those in specific groups. Posts in "Recent Activity" show up at the top of the list of activity feeds, until other content pushes it down the timeline.

Replacing the words "share what's on your mind..." with your thoughts.

You can choose privacy settings for your post.

You can also choose to share your post in the activity feed of a group. All members of the group will see it in their activity feed.

Save the selection you have chosen

Click "post" to share. Activity Feed posts only appear in activity feeds. If you want to start a more permanent conversation, see the next step to choose a group discussion post.

To start a discussion in a group, that everyone can see when they go to the discussions tab, first select the group. Discussions will also show up in the recent activity feed of anyone who belongs to the group.
