AIM Dashboard - View Eligibility

The dashboard is where you can find your accommodations eligibility, letter status, and contact information for your Accommodations Access Advocate's contact information.

Check the accommodations you are approved for by clicking on “My Eligibility” found in the My Accommodations menu.

You will then be able to review your accommodations. It will look something like the photo below.

Double check to be sure that all of the accommodations you need are listed. If you want to keep these same accommodations you see listed on the screen, move on to the next step.

 

If you do not see the accommodations you need or would like to make changes to these accommodations, call the Student Accommodation Services office at 319-398-5540 to talk with your Accommodations Access Advocate.

You will then be able to review your accommodations. It will look something like the photo below.

View Accommodation Requests

Here you can find the status of your accommodation requests for the current or next semester.

If you or your advocate have not submitted any requests this semester, it will show as zero.

Select the check boxes to next to the classes for which you would like to renew your accommodation letter.

Important Notes: 

  • Courses may take up to 24 -48 hours to display in the system after you have registered for your courses.  If you do not see one or more of your courses, contact Student Accommodation Services office at 319-398-5540.

  • Your courses might not display below if you are a part of the course waiting list.

  • If you wish to modify your accommodation request (change or cancel a request), see step 15.

Next, you will see each class listed individually on your screen. You will need to check the boxes of the accommodations you wish to receive for each class.

Click on SUBMIT REQUEST

You can now find the status of your accommodation letter under each class.

"Processing- Notification Scheduled" means your letter is sitting in a queue waiting to be sent by an Advocate. We will send the letters out in the queue about a week before classes start and daily once the semester begins.

If you would like to make changes to your accommodation letter (change or cancel a request), Click on Modify Request

This option is if you would like to add or remove any accommodations that you are already eligible for. To add or make changes to your list of eligible accommodations, contact your Advocate.

That’s it! You have renewed your accommodation letter!

  • We will email your accommodation letter to your instructors during the first week of the semester or within 24 hours of receiving your notice.

  • It is still your responsibility to talk with your instructor about your accommodations and to discuss any arrangements to ensure your accommodations are in place. 

  • Accommodation letters are valid for one semester only. Accommodation Letters must be renewed each semester.

  • You will receive a copy of your accommodation letter in your Kirkwood Email once the letter has been sent to your instructors.

  • If you do not see an accommodation or would like to add or change your accommodations, please contact your Advocate.
