Family Portal Instructions for Parents

The District Code for all TFA Schools is: TFA-FL

The Username is the same username that you created when enrolling (if you forgot you may email William Zavala and he can assist or if you are an additional parent you can click "Create New Family Portal Account).

Please make sure to toggle "Parent" at the bottom.

Click "Log In" when you are finished.

If you want to change your username/password at any time, you may do so by clicking the circle at the top right of the screen.

Then select "Username/Password"

To change your default language, you can select "User Options"

The menu on the left side of the screen will help you navigate around Family Portal.

The first option "School" will show: Directory (only visible to certain schools), Classes (for your student), Resource Documents, and Web Forms)

You can find the following on the main page:

Announcements: Royal Weekly Update (our weekly TFA newsletter), TFA Main Calendar (link to all of our events and happenings on campus), as well as any pertinent information happening on campus.

Classes, under School, will display all of your students current classes, teachers, and grades in each class.

If you click the link to any class, it will take you to a page where you can see grades, homework assignments, and resources in detail.

When you select on a class you have the following choices:

Home: Here you can see a snapshot of the class. Announcements, Teacher information, and Assignment Calendar.

Gradebook Report: Here is where you can see a breakdown of your students grades in the class.

Homework: Here is where you can see any homework assignments that are assigned in the class.

Syllabus: Teachers (if they choose to use one) can opt to post a Syllabus here. However, most of our teachers use Google Classroom or Canvas to post their Syllabus.

Resources: Similarly, teachers can post resources here in Family Portal (links, PDFs, etc.) but usually they post them on Google Classroom or Canvas as well.

The Web Forms link is where you can change any demographic information, emergency contact list, and approved pick up list.

Family Demographic Form is where you can change all that information.

The student tab next on the menu is where you can view: Grades, Homework, Lesson Plans, Attendance, Medical, and Schedules for a single specific student at a time.

Here is a snapshot of all your student's class information: Homework, Attendance, and Grades.

Grades: This is where you can get a detailed report for all the graded assignments and assessments in your students class.

Homework: Here is where you can see a breakdown of your students homework on a weekly basis. Many teachers post their homework assignments about a week in advance to help families plan activities outside of school.

Lesson Plans: Here families can view the lesson plans that are in your students class. This is a great opportunity to get a wide view of what your student learns each and everyday.

Attendance: Here you can view all the attendance records of your students.

Medical: Here you can view any medical records or reports to the clinic your student has gone through.

Schedules: Here you can view a detailed grid of your students day to day schedule.

The Family tab is where you can view parent demographic information as well as create/edit enrollment or reenrollment.

Family Home: All the demographic and setting information on your specific parent account.

Enrollment/Reenrollment: Here is where you can start, edit, finish any applications for new or existing students.

Here is where you can add funds to your students lunch program or pay any tuition or extra costs associated with your FACTS account.
