To add a new field: Click "Add field" then select "Add display field" from the dropdown menu. Select "Subject" from the "Field to edit" dropdown search box. You will edit it for MARC21.

Edit the normalization rule as needed

Recommended: Copy/paste the file to a code editor and modify it there as needed. Save a backup of your original file if you have previously worked with a normalization rule so you don't lose your previous work and can revert easily if needed.

If you are using the file provided by SMCCCD, you may paste the provided code into the selected text area, or paste select areas as needed.
