Edit Household Contact Information

Click on Edit next to the Household name.

Click on Edit next to the Household name.

The Household name is determined by the male Head of Household (or female Head if there is no living male Head).

Individuals can have different last names. These can be set by updating the member information.

Verify the parish name.

If you move to a different parish within the Diocese of Austin, contact us at info@stmaustin.org so we can help you transfer your record.

If you move to a parish outside of the diocese, please contact us at info@stmaustin.org so we can deactivate your record.

If you would like to share a home phone number, add that number in the Home Phone field.

This should be a landline - not someone's mobile phone number.

If you live somewhere else for a portion of the year, toggle the "Repeat Annually" switch, then input the start and end dates followed by the address.

Click on the appropriate Edit Household Member button for the member you would like to update.

Make edits to the various identifying and contact information.

The last name will default to the Household name, however, it can be overridden by simply editing the content of that field.

Contact information should not be shared between members of the Household. This can cause errors when creating logins and communicating with individuals.

Select the appropriate marital status.

You can update the household position.

Head of Household - the parents/guardians; Heads of Household edit information of other members and register other members for events/groups. If your children have parents that do not live in your household (i.e. divorced parents) but need to be included in communications regarding your child(ren), please contact us at info@stmaustin.org so we can make take the appropriate actions.

Adult Child - used for children over 18. If your child has permanently moved out of your home, contact us at info@stmaustin.org so we can inactivate their record.

Guest Child - used for children under 18 who may reside in your home temporarily (i.e. foster children)

Minor Child - used for children under 18 who may reside in your home full- or part-time.

Other Adult - used for grandparents or single aunts/uncles who reside within the household.

You can update the Communications Preferences

At this time, we are not utilizing the Online Directory. Should we one day launch that tool, here are how the preference settings would work:

  • Hide from Online Directory - removes all mention (name, contact information, etc.) of the member from the Online Directory.

  • Email/Mobile Phone Unlisted - keeps the name of the member included in the online directory but does not include the respective contact information.

While you can select the do not send text messages/email messages, there will be certain messages that are important enough that they will bypass these settings (i.e. inclement weather closures, etc.). If you activate these preferences and later subscribe to a publication (i.e. the parish weekly email, etc.) you will not receive the publication emails.
