Current Student View - Course Associations in Vergil Course Search

Currently, course associations will be purely informational and serve as recommendations to students when they are registering for classes. Once the Vergil Student Registration is released, associations will be enforceable and directly impact student registration in Vergil.

Students must first open the course information menu for a course before being able to view its associated courses.

Once they expand the menu, they will be able to view the class information, its associated courses, and add it to their planner.

Once students click 'Associated Courses,' they will be able to view the list of course associations, association type (e.g., pre-requisite), and any specified sections for the course.

After selecting an associated course, students will be presented with a smaller pop-up page with information on the associated course and its class sections. This is an example of a course without any available sections, but students can still add it to their planner.

Within this menu, students will also be able to review this course's associated courses and any requirements they may need to fulfill before registering for the course.

After clicking on this associated courses, students are met with the same pop-up window, except only 2 of this course's sections are associated with this course. This is very helpful for co-requisites that may consist ofa lecture + discussion section.
