At the Printer
Go to the Canon printer and scan your badge. The following screen will be presented:

On your desktop
Verify you are connected to the “ventureLAB - Members” wifi network.
Select “Start -> Settings -> Bluetooth & Devices -> Printers & Scanners”
Under Add a printer or scanner click on Add device
The printer will show up in the list but DO NOT install it from there. It will use a driver from Microsoft that doesn't have the user management functions.
Click on Add manually
Select Add a printer using an IP address or hostname then click Next
In the next window under Device type select TCP/IP Device
for Hostname or IP address provide 192.168.6.35
the port name will get autocompleted as you type the IP address of the printer
disable Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use
Click Next
Click on Have Disk
Browse to the expanded folder that contains the driver.
If downloaded in the standard location then it will be in C:\Users\%username%\Downloads\Generic_Plus_UFRII_v2.72_Set-up_x64\Driver
Click Open, then click OK
Select the driver and click Open
Click next
Click Next and provide a name for the printer (ventureLAB Shared Printer)
Click Next and wait until the driver gets installed
In the next window select "Do not share this printer"
The install completes, in the last window click Finish

Configuring the printer
Go back to "Printers & Scanners", click on "ventureLAB Shared Printer"
In the next window click on "Printer Properties"
Go to Device Settings,
Click "Settings(W)..."
In the next windows replace the current user name with your badge number
Please use lower case "m" instead of upper case "M" as printed on the badge. Keep the "PIN for Secure Print" empty, you will authenticate with your badge at the printer.
Click Ok. It will return you to the previous screen
Click on Apply, then OK
The printer is ready for printing!

Printing your first job
Send a print job to the printer
Walk to the printer and scan your badge.
Once authenticated you will see the main screen
Tap on Print and your print job will be displayed:
