Adding Microsoft Education to Your Canvas Course
Step-by-step instructions for adding Microsoft Education to your Canvas course.
Log into the Ramapo College Intranet.
Click on Canvas.
1. Select Settings.
Select Settings from the menu in the course where you want to add Microsoft Education.
2. Select Navigation.
Select Navigation from the top-level menu. This is where you customize your course menu.
3. Add Microsoft Education to the Course Menu.
Locate Microsoft Education in the list, click the More Options (three-dot) menu, and select Enable to add it to the course menu. You can also drag and drop Microsoft Education to the top of the list to add it to the course menu.
4. Select Save.
Don't forget to Save your changes before leaving the page.
5. Select Microsoft Education.
You will now be able to access Microsoft Education from your course menu. Select it to get started with setting up your account.
6. Select Sign in.
You may be prompted to sign in to your Microsoft account during the initial setup. Follow the steps to sign into your account.
7. Select Continue Setup.
After signing into your account, you may be prompted to select Continue setup to finish setting up your experience.
8. Configure Applications.
If you only plan to use Meetings, you can turn off the Teams application by toggling it off. If you want to create a class Teams channel for collaboration outside of Canvas, toggle Add Microsoft Teams on. Select Done if you make any changes.
You can return to this screen at any time by selecting your profile icon, then selecting Course Settings.
9. Access Your Dashboard Home.
Your Microsoft Education dashboard shows the applications you’ve selected. To return to the dashboard from any application, select the waffle icon and then choose Home.
