Add a local field in Alma for display in Primo VE: Workflow with Exlibrisgroup

No local notes appear in the details section.

Take note that two local notes appear, a 590 note specific for College of San Mateo (CSM) and a 591 note specific for Skyline College. Neither local note field currently appears in the Primo VE record details. In this example we will configure Alma to display the 591 field in Skyline College's Primo VE.

In our example, local_field_03 is selected and will be linked to MARC 591

The display label is how the note will be labeled and appear once added to your Primo VE view. In this example, it is a local note specific to Skyline College, so we have labeled it "Local note (Skyline College)"

In our example, we are creating a local note field for MARC "591"

To only display the field in Primo VE, no selections are required. We will leave this section blank for this example.

In our example, we typed "Local" as a search term, and selected "Local note (Skyline College) which is the field we just configured and will add it to the view.

As proof of concept, we'll look at the same record in a different view (College of San Mateo - CSM).

A Local note does appear, but it is specific to College of San Mateo, and is associated with the 590 MARC field, rather than the 591 MARC field.

In our example, the 590 local extension note only appears in the Primo VE view for College of San Mateo. The 591 local extension note only appears in the Primo VE view for Skyline College.
