Verify your email address is you are prompted to do so.

Enter your name and phone number and then click on Continue.

Click on Skip trial if you're OK with doing some extra work. Otherwise click on Get free trial and enter your credit card information for your 7-day trial of the full product.
Please note that if you skip the free trial, you will be limited to 10 queries per day, so use them wisely!

Select an area of interest or you can click on Skip this step.

Click on Keyword Overview

Enter your keywords in the search box and click on Search. If you clicked on Skip trial earlier, you can only get results for one keyword at a time. Otherwise you can research several keywords at once.

Review your results. If you didn't sign up for a free trial, you will only see the top keyword. Otherwise you will see all of them. Make note of the Volume for the keywords. Add the ones that rank particularly high to your spreadsheet.

Click on Overview.

Scroll down and look at the Keyword Variations. Add the ones you think are relevant to your spreadsheet.

Now repeat the process for long-tail keywords. Remember, those should be more specific.
