coreFORCE Advanced - Products: Creating Membership Subscriptions

This guide focuses solely on creating the subscription products. For additional setup see the related guides linked below.

Notify Days

You can specify the number of days prior to billing to notify your clients of the upcoming charge.

8

Maximum Retries for Payment

The Maximum Retries for Payment setting allows the system to continue attempting to bill the card if the payment fails on the due date. This can be beneficial in cases where a customer's card has expired and is updated within a few days.

Pause Options

The Pause Options setting allows your clients to pause their membership billing. In most deployments, this feature is not commonly used but can be enabled at your discretion if you wish to offer this flexibility to your clients.

In the Startup Includes in Subscription field, specify how many months the initial payment covers for the membership. For example, setting it to one month means the next payment will be due one month after the initial purchase for the renewal product.

Recurring Payment Type

For recurring memberships, set the Recurring Payment Type to Monthly. If the membership is billed annually, use this setting but ensure the Startup Includes in Subscription field is set to 12 months, and apply the same configuration for the renewal product.

Renewal Product Description

In the Renewal Product Description field, enter a descriptive product name for the renewal. For example, you could use Commander Individual Renewal to easily distinguish this renewal item from other renewals.

Renewal products are automatically marked as Internal Use Only, meaning they will not be directly available for clients to purchase. Clients must purchase the startup product.

The Product Category for the renewal product should match the category of the startup product. This ensures the system correctly assigns the item to its category and accurately books revenue in reporting.
