Created Nov 25, 2024coreFORCE Advanced - Memberships: Creating a Promotion for No Membership Startup Fee
In this guide, we will walk through establishing a Promotion Code to offer members the ability to waive their Startup Fee. For this example, we will use our Commander Members. To achieve this, we will create a promotion based on the Startup Product associated with the established subscription.
Note : This is for discounting a single product, but if the dealer wants to discount all startup products they'd need to use a product tag, product category or a product type for the rewards section.
Establish a short Promotion Code for the promotion, as this will be provided to clients to enter on the checkout page to receive the discounted membership.
Note: If you are running a no-setup-fee special for all new sign-ups, you could set this promotion to Apply Automatically instead of requiring a code.

In this example, the requirement specifies the Commander Membership Startup Fee product with a minimum quantity of 1. This means that the product must be present in the shopping cart at checkout for the promotion code or auto-applied code to be valid.
Note : This is for discounting a single product, but if the dealer wants to discount all startup products they'd need to use a product tag, product category or a product type for the Requirements section.

Under the Memberships department on your customer-facing coreFORCE site, locate your Membership Startup item.
Note: If you are an admin, you will also see your Renewal items. However, by default, renewal products are marked as Internal Use Only, meaning your clients will not see them on their end.
