coreSTORE - Inventory: Publishing a Variation Item to coreFORCE

In this guide, we will cover the process of publishing a variation item to coreFORCE. Before proceeding, ensure that the variation item is created and not marked as an eCommerce item. For the variation to publish correctly, avoid marking the item as an eCommerce item during its creation. LINK FOR CREATING A VARIATION

Click on Items

Navigate to the Inventory menu and select the Items submenu.

Search Items

Use the search field to locate the variation you wish to publish.

Click on Edit

Once you have located your item in the Items List, click the Edit action button.

Click on Variations

Next, navigate to the Variations tab of the item. Verify that the variation is properly established.

Item Number

Verify that each variation has an item number established. This is typically the corresponding UPC code for that product variation.

SKU

Ensure that a SKU has been established for each variation. For example, you might use the base model followed by a hyphen, the first letter of the size, another hyphen, and the first letter of the color (e.g., MODEL-S-B for a small blue variation). Alternatively, use the manufacturer's stock-keeping units (SKUs) if they are already provided

eCommerce?

To publish a specific variation, ensure the eCommerce? option is checked for the variation if you want it to appear on your customer-facing website.

Click on Item Info

Next lets navigate back to your item info tab so we can establish the last setting to push this item to your website.

Check Is Ecommerce Item

Locate the Is eCommerce Item checkbox and enable this setting.

Click Save to finalize your changes.

ECommerce Id

You can confirm that the item has been published to your website by verifying the generated eCommerce ID. Keep in mind that each variation will have its own corresponding eCommerce ID, which can be found in the Variations tab of the item setup.

Customer Facing

ext, navigate to the customer-facing side of your coreFORCE site and locate your variation item.

Color

Based on your color attributes, you will now see a color selection option on your eCommerce product page.

You will also see the size selection attribute displayed on your product page.
