coreSTORE - Memberships: Using a Price Rule to Establish Member Benefits'

In this guide, we will demonstrate how to use a Price Rule tied to a membership tier to create member benefits in coreSTORE, such as 10% off all Ammo and Firearms. This setup allows you to replicate benefits offered on coreFORCE or configure unique packages for in-store members, giving you flexibility in managing rewards and benefits.

Click on Settings

First, navigate to Settings to confirm that a Customer Tier has been configured in coreSTORE.

Next, locate the submenu for Price Rules and Tiers.

Verify that your Tiers are properly established. In this example, you can see that the Commander tier has been set up from previous guides. It is linked to the User Type of Commander Members on coreFORCE. This ensures that customers in-store are assigned the correct tier based on their membership.

Click on Price Rules

Next, navigate to Inventory and then to the Price Rules submenu on your coreSTORE navigation bar.

Price Rules Dashboard

On your Price Rules dashboard, you can view all your previously established price rules. While you have the option to modify an existing rule, for this example, we will create a new one.

Click on Create Rule

In the top right-hand corner, click on the +Create Rule button.

Rule Type

Select your Rule Type. In this example, since we are applying a blanket discount to all qualifying categories, we will use the Simple Discount option. If you need to configure more complex discounts or rewards, you can explore the other rule types. For detailed instructions on these, refer to our Pricing Structure Documentation for a step-by-step walkthrough.

Rule Name

Enter an easily identifiable name in the Rule Name field. For simplicity, you could name it something like Members Pricing.

Description

In the Description field, provide a more detailed explanation of what the price rule offers. For this example, note that it provides 10% off all Accessories, Ammo, and Firearms.

Customer Tier Selection

In the Customer Tier selection, check all tiers that are permitted to use this pricing rule.

Start Date

Set the Start Date to indicate when this pricing rule will take effect.

End Date

Since the End Date is a required field, set it far into the future to minimize the need for frequent updates.

Item Qualifiers

In the Qualifying Items section, you can define the benefits based on individual items, kits, categories, or item tags. For this example, we will select Categories.

Qualifying Categories

Enter your qualifying Categories for this price rule, or if you selected another option, such as Item Tags, populate the corresponding field accordingly.

Percent Off

Set the Percent Off or choose a Fixed Amount Off for the price rule, depending on how you want the discount to be applied.

Click Save to Finalize your Price Rule.
