Session Variables are a list of menu variables which can be copied unto a menu and triggered during process of navigation. The modal shows a list of menus, variables copied as ( the text in red) session variables and a "paste" to copy the session variables unto the menu item.

This is a session variable copied from above to paste in to a menu list. After copying a session variable on to a menu item, click on save.

Finally click on Deploy.
