[Orum - New UI]: How to use the Parallel Dialer

  1. 1. Start in the Dialer tab

  2. 2. Select the List you want to dial down and apply any filters needed to narrow that list (if needed). The Parallel dialer moves faster than the Power dialer, so having a narrow list is generally recommended.

  3. 3. On the lefthand side under "Parallel dials" select any number larger than 1. This moves the dialer from Power dialing to Parallel dialing. The number you select is the number of outbound calls that will run simultaneously. Tip: Start at 2 Parallel dials and go up from there.

  4. 4. Ensure you select the appropriate Fallback number and also ensure callbacks are setup. The former will be the number your Prospect sees when you dial them. The latter is where returned calls go if the Prospect calls you back.

  5. 5. Click "Start Session" to dial into the lobby. You may be prompted to allow permissions if it is your first time dialing. The dialer WILL NOT start yet.

  6. 6. When you are ready to begin dialing, select "Dial List."

  7. 7. The settings bar on the left will collapse and you will begin dialing. Prospects being dialed will be highlighted in blue.

  8. 8. Keep your eyes on the Blue 'Connect' icons, this indicates ringing has stopped on the other end and will give text transcription. If you see 'Hello' or 'This is [Prospect Name], this is your indicator that you are about to be paired into the call!

  9. 9. You will hear a BEEP and the Orum screen will change to the prospects page with all your relevant fields. The most important thing is to SPEAK QUICKLY after the beep, the faster you speak the less the prospect is waiting on the line without a response. Orum pairs you very quick!

    Pro Tip: Have a consistent opener for all your calls, this helps speak quickly, my favorite is:

    ' Hey this is Alex from Orum, are they keeping you busy today?'

  10. 10. When you are done speaking to the Prospect, hit the "Disconnect" button. If the Prospect hangs up first, this button will disappear (continue to next step)

  11. 11. On the righthand side, log the Disposition of the call. This is very important to do correctly as it can impact what happens to the Prospect in the integrated platform. You can also write in notes from the call that will post in the integrated system.
